Exeter

Exeter Cathedral

We started the day with a nice breakfast at our hotel (The Buckerell Lodge Hotel) and then we packed our bags and drove into the city center of Exeter. We were lucky enough to find a parking garage nearby the shopping street. We started walking around the city a little and then decided to get some lunch before exploring more. It was pure luck I noticed the restaurant we ate at. It looked very uninviting from the outside but their menu seemed nice so I suggested we tried. As we entered it seemed more like a tiny lobby than a restaurant. However we followed a sign down some stairs which then led up some stairs to a beautiful petite restaurant. It was so dreamy in a way. Not at all what it looked like from the outside. The food was amaaaazing. AMAZING. We were both so surprised and we felt that each course was spot on. The dessert was some of the best I’ve ever had and I honestly need to go back. Yes need.

Bath

We left Oxford after lunch time, I believe it was on the 30th of July, and headed towards Bath. Bath looked super cute and I kinda wish we had had more time and the chance to walk around a bit. One of the parks looked super cozy at least. Maybe another time… Initially the plan was to spend a few hours in Bath but because we slept in a bit, and due to all parking spaces being full, we decided to just drive around a bit instead and head to Exeter and get an early night!

Oxford

Another roadtrip post, another city! Last time, if you remember, Matt and I had just left Cambridge and arrived at dinner time in Oxford at our hotel. When I got up next morning I was all by myself and it honestly felt weird (Note* Matt had to go to a funeral which is why I was alone). I realised that I had never in my life been in a new place by myself before. It was both a little scary but also exciting.

Yayoi Kusama at Louisiana

Last week my roomie, Liene, asked one morning if I wanted to come with her to Louisiana Museum Of Modern Art, because she had gotten two entrance tickets for free. I gladly accepted her invitation and we ended up having such a cozy evening. I loved loved loved the Kusama exhibition! She (Kusama) has such a different style and her “rooms” were such an experience. I kinda want to go back. I can only recommend seeing it! I believe the exhibition will be at Louisiana until the end of January.

10 Things I want to do in December

764

I always feel inspired when reading Emily Salomon’s list (a Danish blogger) of things she’d like to do. And so I figured why not start making a list for myself? I know that I may not find the time for it all and things may get in the way, but there are usually some things I’d like to do so why not try and focus on getting it done. Does that make sense? To me it does haha. This way I can also sort of look forward to some of these things. Which is exactly how I feel when I look at two tickets for a comedy show which are hanging on a magnetic wall in my kitchen. Whenever I look at them I get to think about how much fun my friend and I are gonna have that evening come next February! So that is my purpose of this post.

Here are 10 things I would like to do in December:

  1. Visit Louisiana museum to see Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition.
  2. Go for a drive with my newly acquired license (I passed in October).
  3. Grab one of my friends and head to the cinema.
  4. Put together the rest of the posts from my wonderful roadtrip in England.
  5. Hopefully pass my planned exams!
  6. Create and try different makeup looks with all of the palettes I’ve bought in the states.
  7. Get even more in the festive spirit by visiting Tivoli!
  8. Plan my meals, or at least my dinner (I’ve actually already begun by using Pepperplate).
  9. Visit ‘Torvehallerne’ for some lunch
  10. Bake some Christmas cookies (and eat them!)
