Upcoming must-see movies #2

Is there really anything better than watching a good movie? Some may say reading a good book. And yes, books can be great too but there is just something special about a movie. I love when I can simply disappear in the movie’s universe, and at the same time I really appreciate how the director and the entire crew brought it all together. Here are a few movies, that are coming to Danish movie theaters {they may be released earlier or later in other countries} during May 2014 and June 2014, that I simply must watch!

A Thousand Times Goodnight: In theaters since May 1st

It seems like such an honest, harsh and inspiring story. I for once haven’t thought about how hard it must be to be a war photographer.  I adore Juliette Binoche and it doesn’t hurt that our own Dane, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, is in it too!

The Other Woman: In theaters since May 1st

Admittedly I LOVE these kind of movies and I love Cameron Diaz. She just seems so… nice! The plot itself is sort of new and it’s an interesting take on how it could go down. Can’t wait to see it!

Pompeii: In theaters since May 1st

Okay, I feel a bit ambivalent when it comes to the movie Pompeii. I once wrote a history paper about Pompeii, I have a mother who loves the story of Pompeii which sparked my interest. Kit Harrington is incredibly hot. I mean, look at him… Jon Snow is hot! But the movie itself seems sort of bad… I am not sure it will do Pompeii just. However, I am going to watch it because I love the story of Pompeii. And Kit… ahem..

Fading Gigolo: Coming to theaters on May 8th

Absolutely loving the cast and loving the story. It seems like a cute, funny, and heartwarming movie. One to watch!

Grace Of Monaco: Coming to theaters on May 22nd

Grace Kelly was a fascinating woman. I do not know that much about her life in Monaco, mostly just her on screen career. So naturally I can’t wait to see this movie. Nicole Kidman is also quite often amazing and hopefully she won’t disappoint here either.

Maleficent: Coming to theaters on May 29th

This is BY FAR the movie I look the most forward to this year. I am a Disney girl and I love the spin on the Sleeping Beauty tale. I am so stupidly excited to see it. Also loving the remake of the song “Once Upon A dream”. YAY MALEFICENT!

A Million Ways To Die In The West: Coming to theaters on June 5th

It is so clear that Seth Macfarlane directed this. It has his humor written all over it. It seems very cheesy and I didn’t love his last movie Ted. However, the castlist is craaaay. Besides I’m sure I’ll get some giggles out of it!

The Fault In Our Stars: In theaters June 12th

We can all agree that cancer is absolutely devastating and unfair. This movie seems to provide such a beautiful story on the subject which makes me want to watch it. It reminds me a bit of My Sister’s Keeper judging from the trailer. Let’s see how it turns out! Side-note: Yes it is the girl from Divergent!

Transcendence: Coming to theaters on June 12th

… It’s Johnny Depp! I mean. It’s Johnny! Mr. hotness himself. Of course I have to see it.

Labor Day: Coming to theaters June 19th

Raw, dark drama is what Labor day seems like. I loved Up In The Air, Thank You For Smoking and Juno and although I’m sure this movie is not as funny as those three it still seems quite good.

Do you guys have any special movies you are looking forward to the next couple of months?
