A Great Saturday – Part Two

After visiting the museum (read part 1 here) Dj, Matt and I went to meet up with another friend Magnus outside Tivoli. I was lucky enough to have won four tickets to ‘Halloween in Tivoli’ from Rejseblokken and it just fit perfectly with Matt being in Copenhagen for the weekend. We had such a good time and I honestly would love to do this yearly. It is awesome to go to Tivoli with your friends and so much fun! Although it was a bit cold we just had the most wonderful afternoon and evening. I did get a stomach ache at the end of the evening so I only stuck to the more easy-going rides 🙂

Cambridge

Getting to Cambridge wasn’t easy. In fact it was somewhat of a challenge. As mentioned in the last post all our electrical navigation was out of battery. We didn’t even have a map (and we even looked for some at gas stations but were out of luck). We figured we could stick to the motorway and follow the signs, it was just our luck that the exact motorway leading to Cambridge was closed…. Typical.

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette

Ever since I saw Tati (a youtuber and makeup artist) talk about this palette I knew I wanted it in my life. The colors are so beautiful and I am especially loving the green, purple and orange colors. Also, who isn’t loving the design of the palette!? It looks so cool with the “spiderweb” look. I bought it in the launch week here in Denmark and because of that I also got a few samples. I got some lip gloss, foundation and primer samples PLUS a smaller version of the eyeliner ‘Vice’, which is a beautiful purple color. It also came with a little bag to keep the palette in which I won’t be doing since I love the packaging too much.

BRITANNIA PIER

After having walked around Norwich all day we decided to swing by Britannia Pier, in Great Yarmouth, to catch some nice fresh air. Matt had been there as a kid and wanted to see it again. The weather was a bit cloudy and it was rather windy, but that didn’t really matter at all. Britannia Pier is such a cute place with a lot of fun things to do. I bet during a hot summer’s day it’ll be filled with people! As we were walking along the pier we saw a group of people playing crown green bowls. It looked like a tournament, so we stood and watched it for a good fifteen minutes. I had never heard of the game before, kinda reminded me of PĂ©tanque. We played some slots and some other random games at the arcades and actually ended up spending a couple of hours there.

When it started to rain a bit we decided it was time to head to Cambridge. Now, we had a smaller challenge ahead. Our phones were low on battery, the car navigation was low on battery AND the thing that’s supposed to charge electrical equipment in the car was broken. Halfway to Cambridge we had no map, however by using our my sense of direction we made it there! ?

Norwich

Norwich was one of my favorite places we visited on the road-trip. Its small streets, cute houses and relaxed vibe was just right up  my street. We started the day (27th July 2015) with an early breakfast around 8:30 and got out the hotel around 10:00. We figured the shops wouldn’t open until then anyway. The hotel was very close to the city center which meant we could leave the car and stroll around instead.

We found a little candy shop where we got a lot of random candy. I just wanted to try a few different bits and bobs. I’m not the biggest candy fan but I do like to try new things (although I ended up disliking most of it haha). Afterwards we strolled around the city. I had been talking about getting a hair cut or dye since being in the states. As we walked around I spotted two hair salons right next to each other and ended up picking “Kinki Boutique“. I gave the hairdresser free reins with the only wish to not have short hair. He dyed my hair red and gave it a needed trim.

We spent about two hours at the salon and afterwards we went to Oxfam to donate some old clothes. As it was now around 2pm we were fairly hungry and decided to find a restaurant. We found this amazing Mexican gem of a restaurant.
